Course Dates / Times

BTh, MDiv, MATS, and CSS Core Courses - Year 1

All core BTh, MDiv, MATS, and CCS courses are offered each 8-week Term in-person on Tuesdays, 6:30pm-10:10pm. Hybrid online option available for distance CCS students.

  • Term 1: Old Testament Survey (2 credits, 6:30pm-8:50pm), Doctrine of Scripture (1 credit, 9:00pm-10:10pm)

  • Term 2: New Testament Survey (2 credits, 6:30pm-8:50pm), Hermeneutics (1 credit, 9:00pm-10:10pm)

  • Term 3: Doctrines of God, Man, and Sin (2 credits, 6:30pm-8:50pm), Making and Equipping Disciples (1 credit, 9:00pm-10:10pm)

  • Term 4: Person and Work of Christ (2 credits, 6:30pm-8:50pm), Sermon Construction (1 credit, 9:00pm-10:10pm)


BTh / MDiv Core Courses - Years 2-3*

All Year 2-3 core BTh / MDiv courses (most can be taken as MATS electives) are offered each 8-week Term in-person on Tuesdays, 6:30pm-10:10pm. Hybrid online option available for MATS students. Please consult the MBS Academic Catalog for course details.

  • Term 1: Greek for Bible Study (2 credits, 6:30pm-8:50pm), Ecclesiology (1 credit, 9:00pm-10:10pm)

  • Term 2: New Testament Exegesis 1 (2 credits, 6:30pm-8:50pm), Theology of John’s Gospel (1 credit, 9:00pm-10:10pm)

  • Term 3: Survey of Church History 1 (2 credits, 6:30pm-8:50pm), Evangelism and Apologetics (1 credit, 9:00pm-10:10pm)

  • Term 4: New Testament Exegesis 2 (2 credits, 6:30pm-8:50pm), Survey of Church History 2 (1 credit, 9:00pm-10:10pm)

MATS / +MATS Core Courses (BTh / MDiv electives) - Year 2+

Most MATS / +MATS core courses (can be taken as BTh / MDiv electives) are offered online on Thursdays, 7:00pm-8:15pm.

  • Term 1: Theology and Practice of Personal Worship (1 credit)

  • Term 2: Theology and Practice of Corporate Worship (1 credit)

  • Term 3: Eastern Religions (1 credit)

  • Term 4: Monotheistic and Western Religions (1 credit)

Additional MATS / +MATS core course offerings:

  • Term 3: Survey of Church History 1: From Acts to the Protestant Reformation (2 credits) - Tuesdays, 6:30pm-8:50pm, currently offered only when BTh / MDiv course is available [hybrid in-person or online availabe]

  • Term 4: Survey of Church History 2: From the Protestant Reformation to Present Day (1 credit) - Tuesdays, 9:00pm-10:10pm, currently offered only when BTh / MDiv course is available [hybrid in-person or online available]

  • Summer Semester (June-July): Introduction to Philosophy (2 credits) - meets 4 Tuesdays online, 6:30pm-9:30pm
